Final Project Treatment
This one minute animation project will consist of both parenting and animated dialogue. It will involve characters animated through rotoscoped photographs of myself and a friend. The story will involve the plight of two young Caucasian college students in an attempt to become famous rap artists. The music will be all original performed by myself and a friend.
The two guys (DJ Funky Peppa’ and Tha Syran Rappa’) stand on the side of the road with a turn table, a small amplifier, and a hat on the ground for tips. As people walk by the two attempt to rap and “drop the hot beats” in order to make money to afford to pay rent for their apartment. As people walk back and forth nobody puts any money into the hat. A small boy enters from screen right and takes the only dollar that the two had in their hat. When they realize this they begin rapping about being broke and getting robbed. A man walking by drops a dollar into the hat and the two guys rap a song dedicated to the man’s generosity. As the two guys pack up their equipment and then leave they see a blind man with a cup sitting on the sidewalk so they put the one dollar that they had earned into the man’s cup.
